Quartermaster Clerk

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Quartermaster Clerk position located at the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Headquarters Building.

Under the general supervision, the incumbent maintains adequate levels of safeguards and issues police equipment for the Sheriff's Office.

• Maintains an accurate automated inventory system for all equipment maintained in the Quartermaster Section including uniforms, handcuffs, handguns, shotguns, pager, forms etc.
• Verifies that sufficient amounts are stockpiled and available
• Maintains records of all items ordered and received by the Section
• Conducts a yearly inventory of all items in stock and compares with the automated inventory systems
• Updates automated inventory system to ensure supply on hand matches what system has on file
• Ensures that the inventory indicates an accurate assignment of property to employees both civilian and sworn
• Properly disposes all equipment no longer usable for service.

Hiring salary will be commensurate with experience.

High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree with coursework in related field preferred); two (2) years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Selection process includes review of the Applicant Screening Questionnaire and County employment application; in-person interview(s); and an intensive background investigation to include fingerprinting, criminal background check, credit check, driving record, and polygraph examination.
