RN Nurse, Surgical Assistant
Job Description
Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to join our team. This team member will support our patients on weekdays and eligible nurses will qualify for sign‑on and relocation bonuses.
Work ScheduleFull‑time, 3/12 hr shifts with call. Our department provides high‑acuity, fast‑paced, multispecialty OR services including trauma, general, breast, colon‑rectal, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, podiatry, neurosurgery, ENT, vascular, thoracic, maxillofacial, and plastic surgery. We support 8 operating suites, two special procedure rooms, and minimally invasive robotic surgery (da Vinci® Surgical System and MAKOplasty® Total Hip and Knee). Emergency surgery is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The facility includes 16 private pre‑op rooms and 14 PACU bays.

- Advocate for patients’ rights from the patient/family perspective and provide counsel as a resource to resolve issues.
- Anticipate ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assist staff in assessing learning needs.
- Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of direct OR experience as a Registered Nurse. - Preferred additional experience:
Completion of AORN’s Periop 101 curriculum. - Education:
BSN or ADN from an accredited nursing school. If currently holding an ADN, must complete a BSN within 5 years of start date. - License:
Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. - Certification:
Basic Life Support with the American Heart Association.
