Nurse Manager (Night Shift)
The Nurse Manager (Night Shift) will lead the night shift nursing team at North Spring Behavioral Healthcare, ensuring high‑quality care for children and adolescents, mentoring staff, and maintaining compliance with regulations and hospital standards.
LocationLeesburg, Virginia, 40 miles northwest of Washington, D.C.
Key Responsibilities- Nursing & Patient Care:
- Provide high‑quality nursing care in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Monitor, report, and document patient behavior and medical status.
- Administer medications and treatments following best practices.
- Assist in responding to medical or behavioral crises in collaboration with the physician and nurse manager.
- Infection Control:
- Conduct monthly facility rounds to ensure infection control compliance.
- Monitor hand hygiene for staff and patients.
- Track and report infections while overseeing annual flu vaccinations.
- Nurse Leadership & Management:
- Oversee scheduling and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Assist the Director of Nursing in hiring and onboarding new nurses.
- Conduct random chart audits and monthly medication counts.
- Foster a positive team culture by implementing morale‑boosting initiatives.
- Mentor and support new nurses, ensuring successful integration into the team.

- Registered Nurse (RN) license in a state participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain certification).
- Experience in psychiatric or rehabilitation settings (preferred).
- Leadership skills and a passion for mentoring and developing nursing teams.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
