Position Summary
Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates touring stores, providing feedback, communication, and collaboration at all levels. Implements company change efforts and clear expectations to deliver business objectives. Demonstrates exceptional customer service and supports initiatives to improve customer experience.
Responsibilities- Teach, train, and mentor associates for store operations, technology use, merchandising, and company direction.
- Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates to implement business solutions and business objectives.
- Model exceptional customer service by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model and managing customer service initiatives.
- Resolve customer complaints and design action plans to correct deficiencies.
- Drive financial performance by reviewing profit‑loss statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses to achieve sales and profit goals.
- Ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
- Develop and implement shrink mitigation and action plans to meet sales targets.
- Supervise and develop hourly associates: hire, train, mentor, assign duties, set expectations, and recognize performance.
- Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and growth potential.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards; support Open Door Policy.
- Create a culture of belonging by embracing diversity and supporting inclusive environments.
- Act with integrity and promote Walmart values in all interactions.
- Serve customers and members by putting the customer first and using data‑driven decisions to balance priorities.
- Drive continuous improvement, adopt new technologies, and support others through change.
- 2 years of college education; or 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; or 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- For firearms or ammunition facilities: successful completion of Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training or state Certificate of Eligibility as required.
- Must attend and complete all required job trainings and assessments.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership (Live Better U, Bellevue University, etc.).
- Prior experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
