Retail Operations Assistant - Part Time

The Golf Club at Lansdowne is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, creative, and self-motivated Retail Operations Assistant to work directly with the Director of Retail.

This is primarily a behind-the-scenes retail position, not a traditional sales floor role. We are looking for someone with a strong eye for visual merchandising who enjoys both the creative and operational sides of retail. After training, the ideal candidate will be able to work independently, recognize what needs attention, prioritize responsibilities, and take ownership without requiring daily direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, tag, price, and organize incoming merchandise using Jonas POS
• Merchandise new arrivals and independently create and refresh visually appealing displays
• Determine product placement based on brand, color, category, season, and available space
• Maintain organized inventory, receiving, and backstock areas
• Assist with inventory and order tracking using Microsoft Excel and open-to-buy reporting
• Assist with vendor communication, product sourcing, order follow-up, and delivery timelines
• Support corporate merchandise orders, golf outings, tournaments, and retail events
• Track event and corporate orders including quantities, sizes, logos, customization, and deadlines
• Prepare and merchandise product for mobile shops and golf outings
• Assist with post-event inventory reconciliation and merchandise returns
• Proactively follow up on outstanding orders, projects, and deadlines
• Assist the Director of Retail with additional merchandising and retail projects
• What We're Looking For
• Previous retail, visual merchandising, inventory, or retail operations experience strongly preferred
• Strong visual merchandising instincts with the ability to create displays independently
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Self-motivated and able to recognize what needs to be done and take initiative
• Strong sense of ownership, follow-through, and accountability
• Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general computer applications
• Strong communication skills and comfort communicating with vendors
• Interest in merchandising, buying, apparel, corporate merchandise, and retail operations
• Jonas POS experience is a plus but not required
• Golf knowledge is helpful but not required

Schedule This is a part-time position averaging 20-30 hours per week at $20/hour. Weekly scheduling is flexible; however, availability to work one weekend day each week is required. Additional flexibility may occasionally be needed for golf outings, tournaments, and corporate events.
