Position SummaryVertosoft is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Government Renewal Account Specialist to support renewal activities across our Public Sector Sales organization. This role is hired by multiple sales teams within Vertosoft and is open to early-career through senior-level professionals, including candidates entering the workforce directly from college who are interested in building a career in public sector technology sales.
In this role, you will support and manage a portfolio of renewal accounts across Federal, State, Local, and Education (SLED) customers. You will help ensure timely and accurate contract renewals, strong customer experiences, and revenue retention across Vertosoft’s public sector technology portfolio.
Depending on experience level and assigned sales team, this role may focus on renewal execution and account coordination or expand into strategic account ownership, supplier engagement, and revenue growth initiatives. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, customers, resellers, and Supplier partners throughout the renewal lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities(Responsibilities may vary slightly by sales team and scale based on experience level)
- Manage and support a portfolio of renewal accounts across Federal and SLED customers to ensure timely, accurate, and successful renewals
- Serve as a primary or supporting point of contact for renewal communications with customers, resellers, and Supplier partners
- Track contract timelines, pricing, and terms to support proactive renewal planning and mitigate churn risk
- Collaborate with account executives, contracts, operations, and finance teams to ensure renewal accuracy, compliance, and efficiency
- Identify opportunities for upsells, cross-sells, and contract expansions during renewal cycles (with increasing ownership at higher levels)
- Maintain accurate renewal records, forecasts, and customer insights in Vertosoft’s CRM system
- Partner with Suppliers and OEMs to support renewal pipeline visibility, pricing alignment, and renewal execution
- Learn and apply government procurement processes, contract vehicles, and funding cycles (training provided)
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance renewal operations and the overall customer experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Administration, or a related field
- 0–3+ years of experience in account management, customer success, sales operations, renewals, or a related role
- Relevant internships, co-ops, or academic experience are welcome
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and government-specific concepts

- Experience in public sector, technology, SaaS, or subscription-based business models
- Exposure to government procurement or contract renewals
- Experience working with Suppliers, value-added resellers (VARs), or systems integrators
- Familiarity with Federal or SLED contract vehicles (e.g., GSA, SEWP, NASPO)
- Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
