- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical facility alarms, and critical situations calmly, following post orders and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unwanted activity and policy violations.
- Control access at designated points by verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization, monitoring traffic flow, and directing individuals to appropriate departments.
- Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate pertinent information to site leadership and/or public emergency response partners, and support investigations by documenting observations.
- Vaccines are required for hospital posts.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post-hire.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
