As an armed security officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access screening support, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and report security‑related concerns.
• Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or access authorization, and follow post orders for prohibited items, screening processes, and visitor control.
• Support Allied Universal protocols by maintaining a professional presence, completing required reports, and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• An armed guard card or license.
• At least 21 years of age.
• DCJS license for Virginia roles only.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation, consistent with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Compliance with licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
