How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ( Anchor Shifts ):
  You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
  In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Operate assigned screening equipment and conduct screening procedures in accordance with applicable laws, post orders, and government facility requirements.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and report prohibited items or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following armed post procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, building interiors, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
