M.E. FLOW a Southern Home Services Company is looking for a dynamic HVAC Lead Install Technician.
About This RoleThe HVAC Lead Install Technician is responsible for overseeing the installation, upgrade, and replacement of HVAC systems in residential properties. The role involves leading a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality and efficient service delivery, handling complex installations, providing technical expertise, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. The leader also manages customer interactions, resolves issues, and ensures customer satisfaction.
InThis Role, You Will Be Responsible For
- Install, upgrade, and/or replace HVAC systems in residential homes with precision.
- Cut, thread, and connect pipes (copper or PVC) and handle high and low voltage wiring.
- Train and mentor Install Helpers on job sites and in the shop.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with homeowners.
- Handle physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and moving objects weighing over 50 pounds.
- Maintain tools, parts, and the vehicle in an organized and clean condition.
- Perform work safely at heights, in tight spaces (e.g., attics), and under various weather conditions.
- Ensure adherence to appliance standards, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and service standards.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- 1+ year of HVAC experience, ideally within the residential market.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Valid EPA certification for environmental compliance.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization.
- Flexible and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements Of This Job Include
- Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawl spaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, and using hand tools.
- Driving ability.
- Working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawl spaces.
- Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods; ability to talk and hear in person and by telephone.
- Use of hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Regular stooping, kneeling, bending, and crouching.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures indoors and outdoors (heat or cold) and adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice, or snow.
