About the Agency:
The Virginia Department of Military Affairs is a Commonwealth of Virginia state agency that provides professional and responsive support functions to the Adjutant General of Virginia, the Virginia National Guard, the Virginia Air Guard, and the Virginia Defense Force in order to ensure their ability to support and defend the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Purpose of Position:
The Key Control Manager (KCM) Locksmith is responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance, and modification of all locking systems, door hardware, and security devices for the Buildings & Structures Branch. Ensuring the protection of life, property and security of facilities and occupants of the MTC, Fort Pickett and Other VaARNG Facilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of Key Control Management policies and procedures;
Knowledge, skills, and abilities in the Locksmith trade;
Knowledge of master keying systems;
Training & knowledge of basic safety and OSHA procedures and regulations;
Skilled in verbal and written communications;
Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record required.
Additional Considerations
Extensive training in Key Control policies and procedures preferred;
Certified Registered Locksmith (CRL) preferred;
Certified Professional Locksmith (CPL) or Certified Master Locksmith (CML) preferred;
Experience with BEST lock system preferred.
