Mailroom Courier

The Loudoun County Department of General Services is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a Part‑Time Intermittent Courier position within the Internal Services Division.

• assist with accurately sorting interdepartmental mail, USPS mail items, and other deliverables to County offices;
• ensure mail is delivered on a timely basis consistent with an established delivery schedule;
• assist in operating mail‑metering equipment;
• ensure the appropriate department is charged the correct postal rates.

Flexible weekday schedule working a minimum of 13 hours up to 29 hours per week.

Please note that this position requires mandatory full‑time training attendance for the first two consecutive weeks of employment (Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week).

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Preferably six (6) months of related experience (preferably coordinating delivery needs/teams) or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Pass pre‑employment criminal and DMV background checks;
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record (driving records will be reviewed annually for continued qualification);
• Complete any other required training.
