Rate: $12–14.00 an hour

Shift: Full time. Must work rotating day and evening shifts during the week, including Saturdays and holidays.

• Deliver world‑class programming to guests of Thanksgiving Point Ashton Gardens with confidence, compassion, and curiosity.
• Welcome, guide, and engage guests’ curiosity as they explore one of the world’s largest displays of mounted dinosaurs, including watching a Paleontologist unearth a 150‑million‑year‑old Barosaurus. Assist guests as they explore life 65 million years ago with more than 50 hands‑on exhibits such as the popular Erosion Table and Quarry Dig sites.
• Coordinate program support with the Programming Manager, customizing programs specific to the assigned venue and its needs.
• Train Explorers on conducting programming, acting as a player‑coach, demonstrating presentations, and providing constructive feedback.
• Interact with visitors of all ages at the front desk and inside the venue to ignite transformative family learning and guide exploration, fostering confidence, curiosity, compassion, and STEM learning.
• Support, train, mentor, and develop team members for programming.
• Collaborate with the Guest Experience Manager and Programming Manager on the success of the farm experience.
• Act as the main contact for team members in the absence of other management to resolve guest complaints and other issues.
• Support the Thanksgiving Point mission, values, vision, and commitment to the visitor experience and community engagement.
• Support operations involved with daily shows and programs.
• Assist management team in day‑to‑day guest services operations.
• Follow systems and standards, including scripts that reinforce institutional goals while achieving sales, membership, and business‑development targets.
• Participate in a culture of ongoing learning, collaboration, innovation, and creativity within and across all departments.
• Ensure that team members have the necessary tools to be successful.
• Exemplify Thanksgiving Point’s mission, values, and policies with compassion, confidence, and curiosity.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Guest Experience Manager.

• Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to interact and engage with small to large groups of all ages and varying levels of interest.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Positive attitude with great guest‑service skills and abilities.
• Ability to make independent decisions and work effectively as a team member.
• Organized, reliable, kind, and professional at all times.
• Able to stand on feet for long periods, lift 30 lbs., manipulate small objects, and speak fluent English.
• Experience in customer service, presentation, hospitality, youth leadership, or museum preferred but not required.
• One year of experience in a supervisory role.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background check.
• Be at least 18 years old.
