The Associate Product Manager supports product strategy and execution for bags and accessories within Trove Brands’ growing soft goods category. Working closely with Product Management, Brand, Design, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams, this role helps translate consumer, market, and competitive insights into clear product direction. The Associate Product Manager contributes to category roadmaps, product definition, portfolio planning, and cross-functional execution from concept through launch.
This role is designed as a stepping stone toward full product ownership and independently leading a category.
- Support the bags and accessories product roadmap, including SKU-level tracking, seasonal priorities, portfolio gaps, and development milestones.
- Conduct competitive, market, and consumer research to identify trends, pricing dynamics, category opportunities, and areas of white space.
- Translate research, portfolio data, and in-market performance into actionable insights that inform product definition and roadmap decisions.
- Support product briefs and definition documents, ensuring concepts are grounded in consumer needs, market opportunity, and portfolio strategy.
- Participate in line planning, seasonal portfolio reviews, and roadmap presentations, contributing category and commercial perspectives.
- Partner cross-functionally with Design, Technical Design, Product Development, and Supply Chain to deliver products that meet performance, quality, cost, and timeline goals.
- Maintain accurate category reporting and product documentation, including assortment plans, margin analysis, portfolio performance, and development status.
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Merchandising, Fashion or Accessories Design, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in product management, merchandising, buying, or a related commercial role within consumer goods, fashion/lifestyle, outdoor, or a similar industry.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct market and competitive research and translate findings into clear, actionable product recommendations.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with teams such as Brand, Design, Technical Design, Product Development, or Supply Chain.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high level of detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly present data, insights, and recommendations.
- Proficiency in Excel for assortment planning, margin analysis, and portfolio performance tracking.
- Working knowledge of soft goods construction, materials, and development processes from concept through production.
