Position Summary

Avalaunch is now seeking an experienced Midweight to Senior Videographer & Editor to bolster our in-demand, fast-moving creative team. Reporting directly to the Creative Director, this role is perfect for a video professional who thrives on ownership—from concept to final cut—and wants to shape the visual storytelling of nationally recognized brands. This is not a shoot-and-send-it position. We run regular two-day Brand Strategy Sprints with clients where you’ll collaborate on messaging, help lead narrative development, and craft compelling visual concepts that translate across digital platforms.

You’ll be trusted to elevate our clients’ brands through cinematic storytelling, sharp editing, and innovative production approaches. If you’re energized by capturing authentic moments, building powerful stories in the edit bay, and pushing the boundaries of what branded video can do in today’s media landscape, this is your chance to put your creative instincts into action for clients who rely on us to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, shoot, and edit high-quality video content across a wide range of projects (brand stories, commercials, social campaigns, product videos, testimonials, event coverage, internal communications, and more).
  • Lead video projects from pre-production to final delivery, developing shot lists, directing on set, managing lighting and audio, and overseeing post-production workflows.
  • Collaborate with strategists, project managers, copywriters, designers, and clients to align video storytelling with brand strategy and marketing objectives.
  • Participate in two-day Brand Strategy Sprints, contributing to messaging frameworks, campaign ideation, and content planning with a strong understanding of audience psychology and performance-driven creative.
  • Direct on-camera talent and interview subjects to capture authentic, compelling performances.
  • Own the editing process, story structure, pacing, sound design, music selection, color correction, motion graphics integration, and final exports optimized for various platforms.
  • Stay ahead of video trends, emerging formats, AI-assisted tools, and platform best practices to proactively expand our creative capabilities.
  • Manage equipment, production logistics, timelines, and budgets while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
  • Balance multiple priorities and deadlines without sacrificing creativity or attention to detail.
Qualifications
  • 4–7+ years of professional videography and editing experience in an agency, production studio, or in-house creative team.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating cinematic storytelling, brand-driven video campaigns, and expert-level editing.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Media Encoder); familiarity with DaVinci Resolve or other color-grading platforms is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of camera systems, lighting setups, audio capture, and production workflows.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting creative concepts to clients.
  • A proactive mindset, ownership of your craft, and a passion for creating video content that drives measurable results.
  • Flexible PTO
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance with FSA options
