Job Description
This full‑time internship is part of the Talent and Culture Team in the Family History Department (FHD) of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You will play a key role in delivering internal communications and uplifting media content that strengthens department culture and employee engagement. We are looking for a positive, energetic, and creative individual with experience in communication, data analysis, and video editing.
Speaking a second language is helpful but not required.
On a typical day you may edit and publish 1-2 short videos, analyze communication data and present findings, write and send department-wide emails, organize and enhance intranet content, coordinate with employees for video participation, participate in weekly team meetings, and dedicate time to personal family history and professional development.
Schedule and Internship DetailsFull‑time: 40 hours per week.
Work hours:
between 7am-5pm, schedule set with manager.
Location:
at least 4 days onsite in Lehi, occasional days in SLC. Duration: 6 months, with potential to extend up to 1 year. Eligibility:
Must be enrolled in an educational institution or within one year of graduation. Paid internship:
Requires signing a “Paid Internship Engagement Letter”.
- Managing and improving the department intranet site
- Collecting and analyzing data from communications and media
- Editing short daily videos (2-3 minutes) to inspire and inform employees
- Occasionally filming video content
- Writing and sending engaging email communications
- Supporting team and department events such as Roots Tech
- Building and sending surveys to gather feedback
- Contributing innovative ideas to strengthen department culture
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Video editing (Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Canva)
- Data analysis and reporting
- Project management and organization
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Dynamics)
- Strong people engagement and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
