We need a Brand & Social Storyteller to be Pattern's boots-on-the-ground presence at trade shows, industry events, and brand activations. You'll act as the face and voice behind our content by conducting on-camera interviews, editing same-day posts, and bridging event experiences with social media engagement. This is a full-time role and will work a hybrid schedule based in Lehi, UT.
What is a day in the life of a Brand & Social Storyteller?
- Travel to industry shows and events (estimated 50% travel time).
- Conduct "on the street" broadcast-style interviews with brands, attendees, and industry personnel.
- Shoot and edit content in real time using mobile-first tools like Cap Cut.
- Tag and feature around 10 brands daily across platform-ready social content.
- Post, manage, and track content performance across social channels during and after events.
- Ensure Amazon listings and product links are integrated into interview content alongside content teams.
- Support broader media initiatives including the Totally SKU'd podcast and Unpacked with our CMO.
What will I need to thrive in this role?
- Proven track record in social content creation or on-camera experience (required).
- Strong instincts for fast-turnaround, mobile-first content creation and editing (Cap Cut or similar).
- Comfortable traveling frequently (~50%) and working long, active days on show floors.
- Natural on-camera presence with the ability to make strangers comfortable quickly.
- Experience with drone operation (or willingness to get certified).
- Strong cross-functional alignment skills to connect event output with brand priorities and social strategy.
- Broadcast journalism background or prior experience working in broadcast news (e.g., news anchor or corporate broadcaster).
- Proven track record in social content creation or on-camera experience, with a demonstrated ability to build and grow a personal or corporate social media account over multiple years.
