About the Role
Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is looking for a part‑time teller/new accounts representative for our Lehi branch.
Assist customers and potential customers by providing friendly, accurate, and timely assistance. Recommend and explain banking services and products to clients based on their needs, present solution‑based banking services and products, and assist with client inquiries and complaint resolution. Assist customers with their financial transactions, including paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments.
Responsibilities- Receive and process customer financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, credit card payments, cashier’s checks, fund transfers and sale of gift cards. Maintain and balance cash or teller drawer daily, while adhering to assigned transaction limits.
- Become proficient in the bank’s products and services, enabling you to provide solution‑based banking services and products for customer needs.
- Resolve customer concerns within your authority and Escalate to an appropriate manager when needed. Answer phones, process wire transfers, stop payments, check orders, and create debit cards.
- Provide excellent customer service, deepening relationships by following established customer service standards.
- Open and close branch as schedule deems necessary.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
- Complete required bank training courses within the assigned time frame.
- Actively work on the Summit Progression Program to learn and develop assigned skills and increase proficiency.
- Adhere to Altabank core values.
- Keep management appropriately informed of area activities and significant problems.
- Participate in community service and bank‑sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of Altabank.
- Provide superior internal and external customer service: demonstrate self‑governance, courtesy and respect toward external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel).
- Represent Altabank professionally, maintaining a professional image, confidentiality, a positive “happy to help” attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability to meet bank and customer needs. Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy. Attend and participate in meetings as required.
- Maintain regular, predictable and timely attendance to accomplish, among other things, in‑person contact with customers.

The entry rate for this position is $17.00+ per hour. All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

About You Qualifications- High school diploma.
- Six months of similar or related experience.
- Good with detail to work with numbers and names.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Capable of interacting calmly and professionally with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds at various levels within and outside the organization.
- Capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
- Ability to adapt to change (e.g., shifting priorities, demands, and timelines) through time management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
