Overview
Bonfire Collective is an integrated real estate platform spanning development, interiors, construction, and wholesale. We design and build residential product at scale, prioritizing clarity, efficiency, and a controlled experience from concept through delivery. Our Interiors division exists to support development, sales, and construction, not bespoke one-off design.
We’re building a lean, high-performing design team and are seeking a Design Manager to help lead that effort.
The Role
This is a leadership and coordination role, not a heads-down drafting position.
The Design Manager oversees the execution of interior design across multiple residential projects, ensuring that design intent, specifications, budgets, and timelines align across development, interiors, and construction teams.
You will manage process, people, and deliverables, while staying close enough to design and documentation to maintain quality, consistency, and buildability.
Responsibilities
Design Leadership & Coordination
Oversee interior design execution across multiple residential projectsTranslate design vision into clear, buildable, repeatable systemsMaintain consistency across finish palettes, specifications, and standardsGuide value engineering without sacrificing design integrityReview and coordinate interior scope within Revit-based project workflowsProject & Process Management
Own interior design timelines, milestones, and handoffsCoordinate with Development, Construction PMs, and consultantsManage the transition of specs and documentation into ProcoreEnsure Programma/spec book accuracy and ongoing auditsEnsure interior documentation aligns with architectural Revit modelsTeam Management
Support and manage designers and spec-focused team members as the team scalesSet expectations, workflows, and quality control standardsReduce bottlenecks by improving systems, not adding unnecessary complexityCross-Team Communication
Act as a bridge between interiors, architecture, construction, and developmentParticipate in internal reviews and coordination meetingsSupport buyer-facing conversations when needed (not the primary focus)What We’re Looking For
Experience
7–12+ years in interior design, architecture, or design managementStrong experience in residential development, multifamily, or repeatable productRevit experience is requiredAbility to review, coordinate, and contribute to Revit-based interior scopesComfortable working within shared architectural modelsStrong understanding of construction documentation and specificationsExperience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyMindset
Systems-oriented and process-drivenComfortable balancing design quality with cost and scheduleCollaborative, pragmatic, and accountableTools
Revit (required)Programma, Procore, or similar platforms preferredCompensation
