Field/Service Technician, Systems Engineer
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary on-site technical point of contact for customers and stakeholders
- Perform installation, configuration, and setup of deployed systems for operational use
- Conduct routine maintenance, diagnostics, and corrective repairs on deployed equipment
- Provide day-to-day technical and operational support to end users
- Respond to technical and operational inquiries related to deployed systems and services
- Serve as the on-site subject matter expert, capable of explaining full system functionality and operational concepts
- Collaborate with internal engineering and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Document field performance, operational readiness, and system capability; submit regular status and evaluation reports to headquarters
- Deliver a high level of customer service while operating independently in dynamic field environments
- Willingness and ability to deploy domestically or internationally to remote locations for extended periods (up to one year)
- Ability to support extensive travel, potentially up to 100%
- Willingness to relocate to or reside in the Salt Lake City, Utah area before and between deployments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and end users at varying levels
- Willingness to work extended hours, including 12-16 hour days, and maintain on-call availability as required
- Ability to climb stairs and traverse uneven or rugged terrain
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Prior experience in field operations
- Ability to communicate effectively with bilingual individuals
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
