Reliability Compliance Manager

Overview

Piper Maddox is supporting a leading IPP leader in the space. They are seeking a Reliability Compliance Manager to lead compliance efforts across their transmission assets.

Role Overview:

This role ensures adherence to FERC Orders, NERC Reliability Standards, ISO/RTO rules, and supports reliability coordination with regulatory entities. You’ll provide technical guidance, oversee compliance programs, and support audits, certifications, and reporting.

• Lead and enhance their transmission compliance program.
• Ensure compliance with FERC, NERC, ISO/RTO, and market requirements (CAISO, ERCOT, WECC).
• Manage data collection, analysis, and submissions for audits, certifications, and regulatory requests.
• Provide technical support to operations, engineering, and IT teams.

• Electrical modeling: PSCAD, PSSE, PSLF, EMT, dynamic & static models.
• Geomagnetic Disturbance (GMD) modeling.
• Experience as Transmission Owner, Operator, Planner, Reliability Coordinator, or Planning Coordinator.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or related field.
• 3+ years in the electrical industry.
• 3+ years with transmission owner/operator/planner NERC Reliability Standards.
• Experience with generator, resource & demand balancing standards.

• $102k - $130k base DOE + BONUS!
