Job Summary/Basic Function
Lead team of Heat Plant Operators in performing maintenance of boiler plant. Schedule and coordinate related maintenance activities. The Lead oversees the day-to-day operation of boiler operators who are responsible for the maintenance and operation of the steam plant. The Lead equips, trains, and schedules maintenance functions. The Lead will work closely with all Operations’ staff to coordinate campus standards into daily maintenance activities and to schedule necessary assistance for emergency maintenance needs.
Required Qualifications- NASOE – Stationary High-Pressure Steam Engineer 2nd Class or ASME Certification + must be able to demonstrate proficiency in 3 of the following areas:
Start/Stop auxiliary boilers + Chemistry test/maintenance + MSEA JCI 388 class + DA switching + boiler switching - 4 Years Plant Operator Experience +must be able to demonstrate proficiency in 3 of the following areas:
Start/Stop auxiliary boilers + Chemistry test/maintenance + MSEA JCI 388 class + DA switching + boiler switching - Field Related Associate’s Degree + 1 years experience plant operation +must be able to demonstrate proficiency in 3 of the following areas:
Start/Stop auxiliary boilers + Chemistry test/maintenance + MSEA JCI 388 class + DA switching + boiler switching - (1 years of Plumbing or HVAC experience can be substituted for 1 year of Plant Operator experience OR 2 years of facilities experience can be substituted for 1 year of Plant Operator experience, however must have 1 year of specific operator experience)

SalaryAnnual salary for this position starts at $41,000 and may go up from there depending on candidate qualifications.
