Position Summary:
Reef is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Private Equity Investment Intern to join our investment team for Summer 2026. As a Private Equity Investment Intern, you will support the team in underwriting and evaluating investment opportunities across opportunistic real estate, private credit, and private equity transactions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Please note that we are currently only accepting applicants who are currently enrolled as a junior or senior in an accredited bachelor's or master's program. This individual will have the potential for a full-time offer based on performance during the internship period.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the investment team with underwriting and analysis of opportunistic real estate, private credit, and private equity investments.
- Conduct financial modeling to support investment decisions, including cash flow analysis, return metrics, and valuation modeling.
- Perform market research and analysis, including identifying trends, evaluating market conditions, and assessing competitive landscapes.
- Analyze comparable transactions and provide comparative analysis for potential investment opportunities (comps analysis).
- Create and maintain presentation materials for internal investment memos, investment committee presentations, and other relevant reports.
- Collaborate with senior team members to support deal sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management.
- Provide general support to the investment team on ongoing projects, including ad hoc analysis and market reports.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- Ability to work on-site 40 hours per week at our headquarters in Lehi, Utah
- Strong understanding of basic financial and accounting concepts.
- Proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, data analysis) and PowerPoint (presentation creation).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous internship experience in finance, consulting, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
- No prior real estate experience necessary, though a willingness to learn and engage in new sectors is essential.
