Citadel Insurance is looking for top talent to join our team as a Compliance Analyst in our Surplus Lines Department. We are an energetic, team-driven, fast paced and rapidly growing organization who seeks to celebrate success and reward results.
Compliance Analyst is a critical member of our compliance team and is responsible for:
- Reconciliation of premium and taxes between management system and reporting system to ensure accuracy.
- Responsible for accurate and on time preparation of premium tax reports.
- Review premium contracts, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- Communicating with internal staff, retail agents, and state agencies to ensure compliance of contracts and reports.
- Facilitate ongoing compliance management for any technical and operational gaps.
- Advise on ad-hoc compliance questions from internal and external producers.
- Processing tax payments as needed to state insurance departments and recording payments through management system.
- Provides backup and assistance to complete other accounting and compliance tasks as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat.
- Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent Accounting experience.
- Prior tax filing experience preferred.
Ideal team member would possess:
- Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience and knowledge considered.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
