Sr. FP&A Analyst

Role Overview

As our key Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A), you will be the primary engine behind our financial planning and operational analysis. In this high‑visibility role, you will build the models that dictate what we do next year, owning and influencing the entire P&L and shaping the trajectory of a high‑tech private company.

We are a lean, high‑impact Finance team that punches above our weight class. We are strategic partners to every functional department and value automation, insight, and critical thinking.

This role will engage cross‑functionally to influence decision making across multiple departments and disciplines, while also up‑leveling and developing the FP&A organization as a whole.

• Operational Partnership:
  Act as the dedicated finance partner for department leads and business partners, imparting financial intelligence to drive cost‑efficiency gains and manage spend envelopes.
• Process Evolution:
  Act as the catalyst to mature and grow our FP&A muscle, identifying and implementing tools to automate repetitive reporting and move toward a real‑time "Continuous Accounting" environment.
• The Backbone:
  Own, manage, and administer our internal financial reporting, modeling, and forecasting tools that provide the scaffolding for our financial insights and reporting.
• The Blueprint:
  Help facilitate the annual budgeting process and monthly rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment between departmental spend and our long‑term strategic goals.
• Financial Intelligence:
  Dig into our data, analyzing key financial performance indicators such as customer profitability, CAC, LTV, and retention, and translate these into narrative insights that explain the numbers.
• Strategic Modeling:
  Build complex, dynamic financial models to evaluate new market entries, product launches, and capital allocation strategies.

• At least 4+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, or strategic finance. Experience in e‑commerce or SaaS is a significant plus.
• Technical Prowess:
  Strong modeling skills and experience with FP&A platforms (Adaptive, Analplan), BI tools (Tableau, Looker), and ERP systems (Netsuite, Sage Intacct).
• The Builder Mindset:
  Able to build models from scratch and refine messy data into clean structures, iterating quickly to improve over time.

  Explain the "why" behind budget variances and the implications for our financial outlook, identifying operational gaps in processes, policies, and procedures inside and outside of finance.
• Systems Architect:
  Proven track record of owning and administering financial forecasting software (e.g., Adaptive, Vena, Mosaic, or Jirav) and maintaining data integrity while scaling models.
• High Velocity:
  Thrive in a fast‑paced environment where priorities shift, managing multiple projects without dropping the ball.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

Salary for this role:
National $144,000 - $152,000; LA $149,000 - $157,000; NY $156,000 - $165,000; SF $172,000 - $182,000. Compensation includes base salary, and may be complemented by commission and annual bonus targets.
