Uprise is expanding our seasonal tax team and looking for multiple driven, credentialed Tax Pros who are passionate about delivering exceptional results for clients with complex tax situations. You’ll prepare advanced individual/corporate returns in a fast-moving, high-volume environment, embedded directly within the financial apps people already rely on.

As part of a collaborative startup team, you’ll help shape how our tax service evolves. Beyond return preparation, you’ll contribute insights that inform product development, improve workflows, and elevate the customer experience. This is a U.S.

-based seasonal role running January 2026 through May 31, 2026 with options to return for long‑term contracts yearly.

• Prepare individual tax returns or corporate tax returns of varying complexity. 1040, 1120S, 1120 etc.
• Maintain high standards for service quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Help the client through their journey – from reviewing documents and answering questions promptly to instilling confidence.
• Navigate complex scenarios using your professional judgment, supported by Uprise tools, leadership, and knowledgeable peers.
• Collaborate with teammates to improve operational processes and contribute to the refinement of our service model as we grow.
• Represent the voice of the customer—surfacing challenges, sharing patterns, and offering actionable feedback to product, engineering, and operations teams.

• Active EA or CPA credential and a valid PTIN
• 3+ years of paid individual tax preparation experience, ideally in remote or virtual settings
• Demonstrated experience preparing moderate to high-complexity returns (multi‑state, self‑employment, rental real estate, investment income, and related areas); farming and healthcare industry a plus
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency with professional tax software and comfort navigating multiple digital systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex tax concepts for clients and proven experience working in collaborative and client-facing roles
• Experience with Drake and Quick Books preferred
• Genuine enthusiasm for tax work and a desire to guide clients with clarity and confidence
• Experience working with remote tax clients, client portals, secure file sharing, e‑sign tools, Zoom
• Someone who is willing to work 10‑40 hours a week/customizable to your preference
