About The Role

Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is looking for a Full‑time Portfolio Manager III for our Lehi branch.

M‑F 8‑5

Responsibilities
  • Oversee a complex loan portfolio over $92 mm in loans outstanding
  • Maintain optimal portfolio quality by monitoring and ensuring:
  • Borrowing Base Certificates are timely, accurate and filed
  • Lines secured with A/R & inventory assets are not overdrawn
  • Financial reporting requirements are timely, accurate and filed
  • Loan covenants are monitored in a manner that is timely and accurate
  • Maturing loans are tracked and properly addressed prior to maturity
  • Annual reviews and ADC reviews are completed in a manner that is timely and accurate
  • Graded credits have accurate and updated Problem Loan Reports
  • Perform commercial loan underwriting tasks such as: analyze business & personal tax returns and financial statements, identify trends and concerns and work closely with assigned commercial team and customers to understand & mitigate credit issues
  • Assess credit worthiness of individuals, companies, and institutions
  • Undertakes risk analysis using regional and industry‑specific data and gauges market trends
  • Provide informed professional opinions to bank officers regarding applicant’s financial/credit status, suggest loan structures, and support the lending process
  • Clearly and professionally communicate with lending teams and customers and respond to communication within one business day
  • Adhere to loan policy while underwriting and discussing potential loan requests
  • Complete preflight memos to be presented to Senior Credit Risk Officers for new loan requests greater than $5 million
  • Complete credit memos to be presented for approval for both new and existing loans within 15 days of receiving a complete application
  • Complete quality assurance reviews
  • Determine value of collateral; review independent appraisal reports and other collateral documents that secure the bank’s lien position
  • Lead projects that will consist primarily of credit administration issues and may relate to possible changes in policies and procedure, possible changes as a result of examiner or auditor recommendations, peer group analysis, market studies, changes in compliance and regulations, software upgrades, monitoring of industry or borrower concentrations, risk assessments, and feasibility studies for efficiency gains such as out‑sourcing, in‑sourcing, centralization of duties/staff, etc.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control, in addition to all company policies
  • Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frame(s). It is the individual learner responsibility to ensure that they understand the information given to them in each training. If the learner does not understand the information given, they need to reach out to their supervisor for further clarification or additional training
  • Adhere to Altabank Core Values

  • Regular and predictable attendance in order to accomplish, among other things, in‑person contact with customers

Qualifications
  • Two to five years of similar or related experience
  • A college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field strongly preferred
