Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full‑Time Lead Medical Assistant to join our Family Medicine practice in Lehi. This leadership role requires a motivated professional who can maintain a high standard of patient care while supporting staff and fostering a positive, team‑oriented environment.
Essential Job Functions:- Supervises all Clinic Medical Assistants/Patient Assistants, providing leadership, direction, ongoing training, and performance support.
- Leads the clinical team to follow clinic policies and procedures.
- Works alongside the office manager as needed.
- Orders supplies and performs MA duties such as rooming patients, obtaining and documenting medical history, reconciling medications, and confirming reason for visit.
- Performs routine clinical tasks including vitals, preliminary testing, injections, and assisting with in‑office procedures.
- Maintains accurate and confidential medical records, including appropriate documentation and coding.
- Triage patient phone calls and messages; communicates provider instructions, lab results, and follow‑up information.
- Coordinates referrals, follow‑up appointments, prescriptions, and prior authorizations with pharmacies and insurance companies.
- Maintains exam rooms, supplies, and equipment to ensure clinic readiness and efficiency.
- Ensures compliance with clinic policies and all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintains current CPR certification.
- Leadership skills and 2 years of clinical leadership experience in a clinical setting.
- CPR certification required;
Phlebotomy certification preferred. - Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, pull, push and/or carry up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Excellent computer, telephone, and communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service, organization, and attention to detail.
- Self‑starter, team player, dependable, friendly, professional, and capable of multi‑tasking while remaining calm and productive.
40 hours a week, Monday‑Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm as scheduled.
Additional Notes:This is a leadership position that requires a high level of professionalism at all times. The qualified applicant must consistently demonstrate professional communication, conduct, and clinical skills in all interactions with patients, providers, staff, and external partners.
