Shift Details:
Full-Time (40 hrs/wk) Requires the workable hours to be between 8:00am - 6:00pm;
Monday through Friday. Required to work 4 days a week in-person at Primary Children's Salt Lake campus with one work day allowed remote from home per week.
Located at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT.
Additional Details:
This position does occasionally support referrals and work that takes place at the Lehi Miller campus, however that work is done in Epic and doesn't require being on-site in Lehi to process those workflows. This position interacts heavily with both parents and clinical support staff and requires the ability to problem solve in a collaborative manner. Spanish speaking QBS certification is extremely helpful, but not required to be successful in the role.
- Customer service experience
- Demonstrated work experience in a healthcare environment
- Bachelor's degree
- Bi-lingual preferred, Spanish speaking
- Experience working with parents or families of hospitalized children
- 3 yrs. of work experience in a healthcare environment
- Coordinates with outpatient clinics and inpatient units as part of the Destination Services Team to offer families traveling from out of the area assistance with lodging, transportation, clothing, meal vouchers, and other hospital resources, as needed.
- Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships; developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
- Maintains program materials including way finding information, community resources, travel/hotel information, and area attractions.
- Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to community partners, the public, government, and other external sources to maintain a positive community presence and lasting relationship. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
- Leads the Family 2 Family Mentorship Program, which includes leading a steering committee of parent volunteers and staff. Additional duties include recruitment, screening, selection, training, and oversight of parent volunteers. Facilitates outreach efforts, hospital-wide presentations, and program reporting.

- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
