Job Description:
When you join us, you'll become a part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to our mission of "helping people live the healthiest lives possible." As an Advanced Practice Provider on our Safe and Healthy Families team, you will use your pediatric expertise to help protect children and guide appropriate, evidence-based care in child abuse and neglect cases.
Safe and Healthy Families is a multidisciplinary program that provides medical and mental health services to children with suspected abuse or neglect and to their families across the Intermountain West. Guided by Primary Children's Hospital's philosophy, "The Child First and Always," our team brings together child abuse pediatricians, advanced practice providers, child and adolescent psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and therapists to evaluate and manage the needs of children affected by abuse and trauma.
Aboutthis role

After extensive orientation and training in assessing and treating child abuse, the APP will provide care in the outpatient settings.

Patients who need follow-up exams/labs/imaging after an ED visit or inpatient stay will also be seen in clinic. Schedule Part-time schedule, you'll average 20 hours per week. Initial training may take place at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
