Bary Tech is seeking a highly experienced Freelance Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations for our Austrian entity. We are registered in Austria as a foreign employer and currently employ 7 staff members in IT engineering and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Austrian payroll, including wage tax, social insurance, and compliance with local regulations.

This is a remote freelance role, offering flexibility with the opportunity for long-term collaboration after a successful trial.

Manage monthly payroll processing for employees in Austria.

Handle social insurance filings and ensure accurate contributions.

Prepare and submit monthly wage tax filings via Finanz Online.

Generate and maintain SEPA payment files for salary disbursement.

Prepare and deliver annual payroll statements (e.g., Lohnzettel, income tax summaries).

Ensure compliance with Austrian labor laws and payroll regulations.

Serve as the point of contact for payroll-related employee queries.

Provide guidance on Austrian payroll best practices and statutory updates.

Proven experience in Austrian payroll management.

Strong knowledge of Austrian wage tax, social insurance, and compliance.

Hands-on experience with Finanz Online.

Ability to prepare and process SEPA payment files.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in payroll calculations.

Ability to work independently and meet monthly deadlines.

Prior experience working with foreign employers registered in Austria.

Knowledge of Austrian HR regulations beyond payroll.

Experience in preparing reports for company leadership.

Negotiable: per-employee flat fee or hourly rate.

Includes a 1-month paid trial period to evaluate collaboration.
