Adobe purchases products and services from thousands of suppliers each year. This role accelerates Adobe’s commercial success through strategic sourcing. Lead sourcing projects while partnering with internal teams and suppliers to optimize spend across Adobe’s indirect categories.
What You'll Do- Lead end-to-end commercial strategy for global cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), including complex enterprise agreements, consumption optimization, and long-term capacity planning.
- Partner with Engineering, Architecture, and Finance to translate cloud usage patterns into actionable sourcing strategies that reduce total cost of ownership while maintaining performance and resilience.
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies for multi‑year cloud commitments, marketplace agreements, and emerging cloud‑native services.
- Utilize governance mechanisms that improve visibility into cloud spend, usage forecasting, and risk management.
- Monitor market trends across hyperscalers and cloud ecosystem vendors to inform build‑vs‑buy decisions and long‑term platform strategy.
- Proactively seek value‑creating opportunities across spend categories.
- Oversee the process of disseminating and following contract obligations, and devise a comprehensive renewal strategy.
- Develop, issue, and coordinate RFx activity and lead commercial negotiations to find the best sourcing solution for Adobe.
- Ensure proper risk mitigation through collaboration with Legal and secure robust SLAs.
- Report progress weekly, including work planning and progress, and enter agreements, service details, and payment forecasts into procurement systems.
- Drive continuous improvement and organizational change initiatives.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or similar (preference: MBA or JD).
- Strategic sourcing or procurement certification a plus.
- 6‑10 years of strategic sourcing experience, emphasizing cloud software/SaaS.
- Deep knowledge of software contracting trends, licensing models, and business models.
- Experience leading teams; formal people‑leadership preferred.
- Familiarity with fiscal planning cycles and ad hoc financial analysis.
- Excellent EQ, influence, and customer‑feedback orientation.
- Growth mindset and effective feedback skills.
- Mastery of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with BI reporting and spend analysis.
- High attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, time‑management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to synthesize and present complex data in executive‑level presentations.
- Willingness to train users in new processes, policies, and procedures.
- Effective ownership of competing priorities; flexible working times may be required.
