Position Summary

Reef is looking for a hands‑on Website Developer to own our website and digital experience within Hub Spot CMS (Content Hub) and CRM. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain high‑performing websites, landing pages, and email templates using HubL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while ensuring responsiveness, accessibility, and SEO best practices. You’ll develop custom Themes, Templates, Modules, and HubDB‑driven pages, integrate Hub Spot with third‑party systems via APIs, and partner closely with Marketing, Sales, and Design to ship reliable, scalable web experiences that drive growth.

Responsibilities

Website & CMS Ownership
  • Build and maintain custom Hub Spot Themes, Templates, and Modules using HubL, HTML5, CSS3/Sass, and JavaScript/ES6+.
  • Develop dynamic content using HubDB, create blogs and landing pages, and manage multisite setups as needed.
  • Establish governance for domains, redirects, user permissions, content settings, and brand consistency.
Development & Architecture
  • Translate wireframes and design systems into pixel‑perfect, accessible, responsive front‑end experiences.
  • Implement modern front‑end patterns and, where appropriate, React components.
  • Lead technical scoping for website migrations/rebuilds on Hub Spot; ensure scalability, performance, and SEO.
  • Use Git and command line for version control and local dev; leverage build tools such as Webpack and Babel.
  • Implement robust QA and cross‑browser testing with clear release processes and documentation.
Integrations & Automation
  • Build and maintain integrations using Hub Spot APIs (CRM, Engagements, Objects, Webhooks, OAuth).
  • Configure workflows, custom objects, and associations to support marketing/sales operations.
  • Where needed, deliver custom code (Node.js, Python) or leverage iPaaS (e.g., Zapier, Make, Tray, Workato) for data synchronization and automation.
  • Design for data integrity, error handling, retries, logging, and monitor performance issues and data drift.
Optimization, Analytics & SEO
  • Ensure Core Web Vitals and page speed performance targets; optimize for mobile‑first and accessibility (WCAG AA).
  • Implement technical SEO (structured data, sitemaps, redirects, canonicalization) and collaborate on content SEO.
  • Instrument analytics (Hub Spot, GA4, Tag Manager); run A/B tests and iterate based on conversion data.
Collaboration & Support
  • Partner with Design, Marketing, and Sales to translate requirements into sustainable technical solutions.
  • Create easy‑to‑edit modules for non‑technical users; provide training and documentation.
  • Manage backlog and execution using Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban); communicate status, risks, and timelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Hub Spot‑related issues across CMS and CRM.
Qualifications
  • 2‑3+ years professional front‑end development with at least 2 years of hands‑on Hub Spot CMS development.
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science/IT or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Portfolio of live Hub Spot projects demonstrating semantic, performant code.
  • Hub Spot Developer Certification or Solutions Partner experience is preferred.
  • High proficiency: HTML, CSS (Sass/Less), HubL, and Hub Spot platform (CMS/Content Hub, Marketing Hub, CRM).
  • Medium proficiency:
    JavaScript/ES6+ and HubDB.
  • Proven ability to build custom Themes, Templates, and Modules in Hub Spot CMS.
  • Strong ability to use logic and data to design sustainable, long‑term solutions; meticulous organization and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication and task management skills; a self‑starter with initiative and dependability.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design, cross‑browser compatibility, SEO, and page performance.
  • Experience with Git, CLI, and build tools (Webpack, Babel).
  • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs (GET/POST/PUT/DELETE), webhooks, and OAuth
