Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for a Service Now Technical Architect to define and lead the technical architecture of the Service Now platform. This role ensures the platform remains scalable, secure, and maintainable while supporting business growth. You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into resilient, future-ready solutions aligned with enterprise standards and Service Now best practices.
As the Service Now thought leader, you will provide deep expertise across ITSM, ITOM, CSM, FSM, SPM, HRSD, HAM, SAM, and Sec Ops to maximize platform value and adoption.
Responsibilities- Design, maintain, and evolve scalable, secure, and high-performing Service Now solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and platform best practices.
- Define and document platform architecture, data models, integration patterns, and technical guardrails for both technical and business audiences.
- Lead technical design sessions and guide implementation of new modules, enhancements, and integrations with a focus on maintainability and reuse.
- Provide hands-on architectural guidance and mentorship to developers, administrators, and configuration specialists.
- Establish and enforce platform standards, smart customization strategies, and environment governance.
- Oversee platform health, including performance, security, upgrade readiness, and continuous optimization.
- Design and oversee integrations using MID Server, REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and related technologies.
- Ensure CMDB and foundation data accuracy, compliance with CSDM, and effective data migration and reconciliation strategies.
- Partner with business and IT leaders to deliver solutions that drive measurable business value.
- Manage and optimize Service Now licensing to ensure compliance and cost-effective adoption.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
- 7–10+ years of Service Now experience across architecture, development, and multiple modules.
- Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and upgrade-ready Service Now solutions.
- Strong experience leading technical design efforts and mentoring technical teams.
- Deep expertise in integrations, CMDB/CSDM, and platform governance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Preferred certifications:
Service Now CSA, CIS, CTA, and ITIL v4 Foundation.
