Senior Content Developer

Job Summary

The Senior Content Developer applies judgment on the creation, analysis, and review of product information, collaborates across the organization on broad‑scope projects, and mentors other Content Developers.

• Write technical and user information, bringing broad experience and new ideas to each project.
• Complete self and peer reviews of content, providing coaching and mentorship to ensure consistency and simplicity of language.
• Review complex drawings and design reports, write text with few errors, and lead the layout and design of materials.
• Use product software to review feature plans and recommend appropriate content creation.
• Consult with other areas of the business to understand and respond to content needs.
• Identify and proactively recommend required content updates based on product enhancements.
• Ensure all content is complete and available on time throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Prioritize projects independently and guide Content Developers in prioritization.
• Determine accurate time estimates for project tasks.
• Proactively research product changes to determine scope for assigned areas.
• Identify and recommend solutions to complex problems.
• Coach and mentor Content Developers to ensure consistent and high standards of content delivery.

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to conduct independent research and make recommendations.
• Originality and thought leadership.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work comfortably with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts).
• Experience working closely with product management and product development teams as part of the software development process.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology.

• Working knowledge of content creation tools.
• Problem‑solving skills.

• 3 to 5 years of applicable experience in creating documentation, learning materials, technical writing, and product content strategies.
• Experience in SaaS, enterprise software, or other software product environments.
• Familiarity with software development life cycles and release processes, especially frequent or CI/CD‑style release cycles.
• ERP experience is helpful but not required.
• Experience using AI tools to improve content creation, workflow efficiency, or content development processes.
• Portfolio, writing samples, or examples of prior work are helpful but may not be required.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
