Cyber Defense Analyst

Overview

The Cyber Defense Center is seeking a Cyber Defense Analyst with demonstrated investigative abilities to play a key role in our security operations. This critical position involves analyzing, investigating, containing, and responding to cybersecurity alerts. Your analytical insight, instincts, and attention to detail will be vital in minimizing damage, protecting sensitive data, and ensuring business continuity.

• Hybrid, 2 days onsite in Lehi, UT
• Wednesday through Saturday
• 4‑day work week, 10‑hour shifts
• 40 hours per week

• Analyze and respond to cybersecurity alerts from multiple security platforms
• Conduct investigations to identify indicators of compromise
• Perform event correlation using information gathered from multiple enterprise sources to improve situational awareness
• Coordinate with CSIRT team members on containment and incident response activities
• Maintain detailed case documentation and investigative records
• Participate in rotational assignments across incident response, cyber threat hunting, and detection engineering
• Identify opportunities to improve investigations, documentation, and security automation
• Stay current on emerging threats, attack techniques, and cybersecurity trends
• Collaborate with a global 24x7 Cyber Defense team, including periodic weekend coverage
• Create, update, and maintain investigation process documentation

• Experience conducting cybersecurity investigations or similar security operations work
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to investigate complex security events
• Experience using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms
• Familiarity with enterprise security tools and investigation datasets
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity and privacy fundamentals
• Ability to manage multiple investigations in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Excellent written documentation skills

Pay Rate - $45.77 per hour
