Job Summary

The purpose of the Branch Manager position is to oversee the overall management, operations, and financial performance for the assigned area. The role requires a subject matter expert who consistently meets communicated objectives, including profitability, growth, and performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve branch objectives through operational and sales enhancements.
  • Manage fire protection services such as fire extinguisher, pre‑engineered, sprinkler, and alarm inspections, services, and installations.
  • Guarantee financial performance in line with the Profit & Loss statement, gross revenue, margin, and overhead.
  • Communicate and strategize with management on financial progress, growth strategies, and human‑capital requirements.
  • Ensure proper execution of internal workflow, paperwork, and field operations, maintaining quality assurance and safety in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Maintain employment communication and documentation in accordance with company policies and Human Resources procedures.
  • Develop and mentor future managers and leaders within the location.
  • Oversee proper use, maintenance, and repair of company assets, including tools, supplies, and fleet, coordinating with Purchasing and Fleet departments.
  • Manage work performed within the assigned area, including:
    • Spot checks of field inspections to review quality and customer satisfaction.
    • Ride‑alongs with field technicians for training and improving customer care, quality control, efficiency, safety, product upsells, and cold calling.
    • Route management of technicians, adjusting schedules for efficiency and training CSRs and technicians on effective scheduling.
    • Overall safety of the branch location.
    • Participation in install project and coordination meetings as needed.
    • Leadership of final checkout/commissioning coordination with AHJ, Owner, Architect/Engineer, General Contractor, etc.
    • Communication of schedules, products/materials, and coordination between Sales and Operations for planning.
    • Review shop material preparation, orders, job staging, and tool preparation for job scheduling.
    • Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and fleet.
  • Manage material orders to maintain standard stock quantities in coordination with Purchasing.
  • Coordinate billing and invoicing for accurate and timely practices.
  • Lead the sales department’s business development to grow market share; participate in legacy customer quote presentations.
  • Promote and coordinate continuing education and certification of employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in the Fire Protection Industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • NICET II, III, or IV (or state equivalent) is preferred.
  • 5 years of professional computer skills (Microsoft Office, Sage 300 CRE, or similar).
  • Experience leading >10 direct and indirect subordinates.
  • 3+ years of analytical experience using business intelligence systems.
Education, Training, Certifications
  • 5+ years in the Fire Protection Industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • NICET II, III, IV or state equivalent preferred.
System & Software Skills
  • Competency with Microsoft Office.
Other Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Compliance with drug and alcohol policy and background screening requirements.
  • Ready to travel up to 50% of the time.
Physical & Work Environment

Employee will sit and stand for extended periods, occasionally drive, bend, kneel, lift up to 20 lbs, walk, balance, ascend/descend stairs, reach, stoop, and twist. Work is performed indoors, sometimes alone or with teams, and may require personal protective equipment per safety policies.
