Truss Assembler – St. George, Utah

$17.00 - $19.00 (total compensation)

The Assembler is an entry‑level position that performs repetitive assembly operations to mass‑produce products such as windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs.

• Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
• Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.
• Cut products to specific measurements as needed.
• Removes defective products as needed.
• Tends machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.
• Works at different workstations as production needs require.
• Works in environment where tasks change as varying models of product are produced.
• Cleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

• No educational or experience requirements.
• Prior carpentry experience helpful.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, and express verbally in individual and small group situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; read tape measure.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions; solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standard situations.
• Overtime work may be required.

• Employee continuously stands, uses hands, reaches, talks, and hears.
• Employee continuously walks.
• Employee occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
• Employee continuously lifts/moves up to 25 pounds; frequently lifts up to 50 pounds; occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed.
• Specific vision abilities: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.
• Employee exposed to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles.
• Employee frequently exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat, electrical shock, vibration.
• Noisy work environment; ear plugs required for noise protection; eye protection and other personal protective equipment also required.
