Northrop Grumman is seeking a Production Planner and Scheduler – Level 2/3 to join our team in the Space System business unit. This position will be 100% onsite at our facility located in Promontory, UT.

The position can be filled with either level 2 or level 3.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate production schedules ensuring materials and planning are available for release.
  • Work on a master production schedule.
  • Understand product movement.
  • Advise management and production scheduling on operations status.
  • Escalate problems such as material shortages, ensuring labor, tools, equipment, and services are provided as needed in conjunction with the program schedule.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the movement of parts is timely.
  • Work with support functions ensuring support documents are available prior to production startup.
  • Coordinate product movement across value streams.
  • Work with MRP Systems.
  • Perform capacity planning (level loading, Kanban) and prioritizing.
  • Use Costpoint, Sync Manufacturing, and MS Excel.
  • Work closely within a team environment such as Operations team, Leadership, Production and Material Control, Process Engineering, Quality Engineering, VSET Leads or CAMS.
  • Handle high-rate production demands and support multiple programs and customers.
Basic Qualifications
  • Level 2:
    Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant work experience in operations planning and production scheduling.
  • Level 3:
    Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience in operations planning and production scheduling, 3+ years of experience with a Master’s degree.
  • In lieu of degree: 6+ years of relevant work experience in operations planning and production scheduling.
  • Experience in MS Office Applications (exceptional use of Excel and Powerpoint).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge in an ERP system and familiarity with the MRP process.
  • Must be a US citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Costpoint and/or SAP experience.
  • CPIM - Certified in Planning and Inventory Management.
  • Supply Chain experience.
  • Active US government security clearance.

This position will be a standard 9/80. The schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $59,600.00 - $89,400.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
