Our mission at 97th Floor is to elevate people and brands we believe in. That’s what we’re focused on when we help our clients meet their marketing goals and lead people to brands and products they need.
You’ll thrive here if you’re motivated to do work you’re proud of, you enjoy close collaboration, and you’re naturally curious about how search engines and AI search actually work.
We’ve partnered with companies like AT&T, Oatly, eos, and Zoom. And now we’re looking for someone who wants to own organic search strategy with curiosity, motivation, and genuine excitement to learn.
What You’ll DoYou’ll come in with a solid foundation in search marketing and be ready to put it to work. You’ll continue learning from experienced marketers while taking ownership of SEO and AI search/GEO strategy for your clients and using your judgment to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive results.
You’ll work alongside a content marketer, advertiser, designer, and account director on a team serving approximately 7–10 clients. Your work will focus on:
Content Strategy- Own query research for your accounts: keyword research (Watch/Win/Invest), AI prompt research, and content mapping recommendations — including flagging AI prompts with no strong content match and recommending what to build.
- Conduct a comprehensive keyword review (competitive content gap plus existing rankings) at the start of every new client contract to prioritize topics from day one.
- Identify content consolidation opportunities — spotting keyword/AI prompt cannibalization and duplicate or outdated content that should be removed or merged to improve crawl efficiency.
- Keep your strategic and technical knowledge updated by constantly learning about new marketing trends, algorithm changes, and platform/channel updates, including AI-driven search.
- Conduct Full Technical Audits at minimum every 6 months and at the start of every contract, so technical issues are resolved before optimized content goes live.
- Complete regular technical health check-ins on client sites to identify crawl or indexing issues early.
- Own the cadence of ongoing technical monitoring, and deliver clear, actionable technical recommendations to development.
- Own internal link audits, recommending new linking opportunities with strategic anchor text and surrounding copy for easy implementation.
- Optimize existing internal links to create correct connection between hub and spoke pages.
- Audit a site's existing URL structure, provide recommendations for optimizing user and bot navigation of a site.
- Own backlink strategy for your accounts: how many links should be built to a given target URL, anchor text approach, and outreach recommendations for potential referring sites.
- Quality-assurance standards audits and tracking impact of new referring links on keyword rankings, traffic and AI Search presence.
- Monitor results across STAT, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and GA4 on the recommended cadence, and advocate for a pivot in strategy when the current strategy isn’t working.
- Own monthly client reporting using Google Data Studio.
- Achieve target search results through account monitoring, testing, and collaborating with your team on how to adjust strategy.
- Lead client communication for your work — walking clients through strategy, execution, and progress.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field (preferred, not required)
- 2-3 years of experience in SEO or organic search
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, and Looker Studio
- Experience with keyword and site auditing tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or Moz
- Proficiency with Excel/Google…
