SEASONAL CEMETERY WORKER

PAY RATE: $13.80 per hour

SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday (occasional shifts for holidays and weekends)

DEPARTMENT:
Cemetery

Performs a variety of duties related to the maintenance of:

• Cemetery Grounds maintenance
• String trimming around headstones
• Weeding and landscape ben maintenance
• Maintaining and cleaning restrooms
• Irrigation Systems
• Light and heavy equipment operating
• Working outside in various elements
• Great attitude and able to communicate with citizens in a respectable manner.

• Knowledge in maintaining turf and landscape areas with skills including irrigation, planting, weeding, and general upkeep of green space
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to communicate.
• Ability to learn to operate and maintain maintenance equipment such as mowers, chain saws, pruning equipment, and hand tools.
• Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers and the public.
• Must pass a background and drug test.
• Must be 16 years old or older (Preference will be given to applicants 18 and older with a valid driver's license).

Employment in this position is conditional upon passing a pre-employment background and drug test.
