Quality Director - FSQ Director

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Director to lead quality programs across multiple production sites in the area, as a key leader in shaping operational excellence and long term brand trust.

This role oversees all QA operations, ensures compliance with regulatory and internal standards, and drives continuous improvement in product safety and quality, and plays a critical role in protecting consumers, strengthening product integrity, and ensuring that every batch produced meets rigorous quality expectations.

Ideally experienced and qualified candidates will bring with them the following:

• Quality Strategy Leadership
  - Shape the long term direction of quality programs across multiple production locations, ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational alignment.
• Team Development
  - Mentor supervisors and managers, set expectations, and build a high performing group that understands both regulatory demands and business priorities.
• System Oversight
  - Maintain and refine core quality platforms such as corrective action workflows, documentation libraries, audit schedules, and process verification tools.
• Performance Tracking
  - Translate quality data into actionable insights, maintain dashboards, and communicate trends to senior leadership.
• Cross Functional Alignment
  - Partner with operations, engineering, HR, finance, R and D, maintenance, marketing, and sales to ensure quality expectations are integrated into daily decision making.
• Food Safety Leadership
  - Participate in risk reviews, guide preventive controls, and help strengthen the organization's food safety posture.
• Preventive Program Management
  - Oversee allergen protocols, GMP adherence, process checkpoints, and foreign material prevention systems.
• Accountability and Standards
  - Hold team members to established expectations, recognize strong performance, and reinforce adherence to company policies.

We are seeking those with the following skills/experience:

• Leadership Experience - A background of 10 or more years in quality focused roles, including at least 5 years guiding teams or multi site operations.
• Educational Foundation - A bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, or business discipline such as Food Science, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Graduate level education is a plus.
• Technical Competence
  - Strong familiarity with quality systems, data analysis, and digital tools used to evaluate trends and support decision making.
• Certification Background
  - Possession of a recognized food safety credential (GFSI, CQA, SQF, PCQI, BRC, ISO, FSSC). SQF or PCQI preferred but not required.
• Collaboration Skills
  - Ability to influence, communicate expectations, and work effectively with leaders across diverse functions.
• Multi Site Expertise
  - Demonstrated success implementing quality programs across more than one facility.
