Overview
The Beauty Advisor drives sales and delivers a positive customer experience by providing excellent service through building client relationships, performing product applications, and offering customized recommendations. The role requires enthusiasm for the beauty and fragrance industry, competitive drive, and confidence to excel in a fast‑paced commission environment. This is an hourly position.
What You Will Do- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and initiative in achieving store objectives and driving personal and store key metrics.
- Create memorable store experiences by building genuine relationships with team members, vendors, customers, and the community.
- Build customer loyalty by delivering excellent service, providing personalized consultations, utilizing clienteling tools, and offering product recommendations tailored to client needs and preferences.
- Execute successful promotions, special events, and customer outreach initiatives to maximize performance and drive sales.
- Utilize selling tools and digital devices to provide customers with a seamless omnichannel experience, confidently communicating about inventory, assortment, and product details.
- Leverage training tools, brand resources, and feedback to continuously build product knowledge, suggestive selling behaviors, artistry skills, and expertise in current industry tips and beauty trends.
- Encourage repeat client interactions as a knowledgeable and trusted resource.
- Merchandise and replenish products in a timely manner.
- Maintain visual merchandising, signing, and beauty hygiene standards, aligning with vendor and company directives.
- Contribute to a positive store culture by building connections with teammates, sharing knowledge, and celebrating individual and team achievements.
- Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in response to changing circumstances.
- Support selling and store operations by assisting with tasks as assigned.
- Support store fulfillment and asset protection initiatives, maintaining product protection standards and safety guidelines.
- Dedication to customer service and a drive to achieve store objectives.
- Strong skill set and experience required for the role, with a commitment to continuous learning.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and contribute to store success.
- Self‑directed, able to work with minimal supervision in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable with technology, including smartphones, tablets, and Windows‑based operating systems.
- Available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to move around all store areas, lift and carry up to 40 lbs., bend, reach, and stretch as required.
- Enjoy assisting customers with makeup application and skincare services.
- Must maintain all required professional licenses and certifications, including any state‑specific demonstrator or cosmetology licenses required by applicable state and local regulatory boards.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
