Job Description Summary
Manage a team of outside sales professionals (RVPs) that wholesale qualified retirement plans within an assigned territory. Responsible for sale of qualified retirement plans through all channels of financial intermediaries including banks, wire houses, regional broker dealers, employee benefit firms, etc.
Responsibilities- Manage a team of external sales professionals in a defined geographic region.
- Ensure productivity and sales goals are met.
- Manage budget.
- Recruit, hire, and develop sales professionals for the region.
- Maintain insight into competition and industry at large; provide expert opinion to other areas within the organization.
- Provide sales assistance to team members as needed.
- Market and promote Transamerica Retirement Services.
- Adhere, and ensure adherence, to industry, regulatory authority and other codes of conduct.
- Bachelor's degree in a business field or equivalent experience.
- Experienced sales management professional with an in-depth understanding of the retirement market.
- FINRA Series 6 & 63.
- Life & Health License.
- Expert knowledge of ERISA.
- Outstanding public speaking and presentation skills; well organized in thoughts and actions.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
- Excellent technical skills.
- Ability to motivate others and establish trust and credibility.
Remote (Field/Travel). Frequent travel 25 to 50%.
CompensationTotal Compensation for this role is estimated to be $600,000-$700,000 per year. The salary for this position generally ranges between $225,000 and $250,000 annually. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
