Responsible for selling Canon's hardware and software technology-based solutions to companies within an assigned account list. This is a new business development role to develop the Salt Lake City territory.
Location requirement: live within a reasonable commuting distance to Salt Lake City, UT to adequately execute responsibilities.
Your Impact- Develop strategies to penetrate accounts with key decision makers at medium to large business‑to‑business prospects, focusing on placing Canon equipment and solutions in new accounts.
- Report customer activity to management, identifying customer requirements, competitive trends, and changing environments.
- Develop strategic plans to address potential customers’ requirements locally, including short‑term and long‑term goals.
- Provide marketing, technical, and administrative support to named accounts’ internal departments to ensure outstanding relations and excellent customer support in all facets of daily activity.
- Develop plans to introduce/place Canon technology, service, software, and third‑party solutions to address customer requirements.
- Establish high‑level relationships with prospect base that enhance long‑term working partnerships.
- Gain new market share through strategic prospecting and the ability to meet customer requirements by utilizing all available resources efficiently.
The Skills & Expertise You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required; 2–3 years of business‑to‑business related experience.
- Business‑to‑business outside sales experience preferred, with demonstrated success managing complex, long‑term sales cycles, including heavy equipment and phone‑based sales.
- Strong communication skills and desire to build solid working relationships with a variety of businesses.
- Interest in learning new technology in an evolving industry.
- Hunter mentality to develop new business partnerships.
- Ability to work autonomously and excellent time‑management skills.
- Some travel required within local market, possibly overnight; a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are necessary.
Base salary range: $60,000–$81,550 annually. Eligible for incentive compensation under the applicable plan. Also eligible for a transportation allowance.
