Business Development Manager – Service
Position:
Business Development Manager – Service, West Region (AZ, CA, CO, , MT, NM, NV, OR, UT, WA, WY).
- Focus on aftermarket business development and sales activities for WEG and non‑WEG products, including parts, services, repair, and engineering services.
- Develop close working relationships with users and distributors in Oil & Gas, Power, Pulp & Paper, Mining/Aggregates, and Steel.
- Maintain relationships with WEG factory and partners.
- Generate order‑capture activities to support bookings and sales growth from existing customers and cultivate new customers.
- Develop sales and call strategies to increase exposure at users and distributors.
- Lead and take ownership of customer feedback gathering.
- Identify project or customer details vital for quotation strategy.
- Create accurate quotations for WEG’s offerings.
- Collaborate with WEG entities and service partners to meet customer expectations.
- Attend industry conferences, review periodicals, conduct internet research, and perform site visits; report activities quarterly to management.
- Mentor and train junior team members.
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 100% of job duties.
- Achieve performance measured by bookings and quarterly reports.
- BS Degree in Marketing, Business, Industrial Technology, or related field, or 2+ years of general industrial inside sales experience.
- Sense of urgency to respond to customer requests timely.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills with internal and external customers.
- Effective communication with difficult customers, orally and in writing.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with inside service sales support and customers.
- Self‑starting, results oriented, flexible, and a team player.
- Frequent travel within manufacturing and office facilities.
- Ability to climb stairs and move around machinery.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds unassisted.
Salary ranges from $115,000 to $125,000, commensurate with experience. Position is full‑time. Company cannot provide sponsorship for this position. Please, no agencies.
