Diesel Mechanic

Hadco Construction is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and semis used in dirt and construction environments. This role ensures our equipment stays reliable and safe under demanding job site conditions.

What You'll Do

* Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, drive trains, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems on heavy-duty trucks and semis

* Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime

* Troubleshoot issues related to equipment working in dirt and off-road conditions

* Complete work orders and service records with accuracy and detail

* Operate vehicles to test systems after repairs

* Respond to field service calls when trucks require on-site repair

* Follow OSHA and company safety standards at all times

What We're Looking For

* 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic working on heavy-duty trucks or semis

* Strong knowledge of diesel engines, drive trains, hydraulics, and electrical systems

* Familiarity with DOT requirements and inspections for commercial trucks

* Ability to use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and technical documentation

* Welding and fabrication experience preferred

* Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)

* Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

* Frequent lifting and moving of parts and tools weighing 50+ lbs.

* Regular bending, kneeling, and climbing on/off trucks and equipment

* Work performed in both shop and outdoor environments, often in dirt and construction site conditions

* Exposure to grease, fumes, noise, and heavy machinery on a daily basis
