# Yellow-Iron Mechanic Hot Job Lehi Yard - Lehi, UT 84043## Description Hadco Construction is seeking a skilled Yellow-Iron Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently.
** What You’ll Do
*** Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, etc.)
* Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and adjustments to extend equipment life
* Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
* Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records
* Operate equipment to test functionality after repairs
* Assist with field service calls when equipment issues arise on job sites
* Follow company and OSHA safety procedures at all times
** What We’re Looking For
*** 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment/yellow-iron mechanic
* Strong knowledge of hydraulics, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
* Ability to read and interpret service manuals, diagrams, and technical documents
* Experience with diagnostic tools and computerized systems preferred
* Welding and fabrication skills a plus
* Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
* Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
* Physical Demands & Working Conditions
* Regular lifting, carrying, and handling of parts and tools weighing 50+ lbs.
* Frequent bending, kneeling, and climbing on/off equipment
* Work performed in both shop and outdoor environments, exposed to weather and construction site conditions
* Noise, grease, fumes, and heavy machinery exposure are part of daily work conditions## About Us
