Thanksgiving Point is a nonprofit dedicated to sparking curiosity, inspiring confidence, and helping children and families discover something new every time they visit. Through our museums, gardens, and farm experiences, we create hands‑on adventures that are centered around all things STEM.

Wage
: $15-17/hour

Shift
:
Full time 30–39 hours. Monday–Friday, some Saturdays.

Hours:

6:00 am–2:30 pm, June through August; 7:00 am–3:30 pm, September–May. Occasional weekend work required. Decreased hours during winter months.

Summary
:

• Assist the Irrigation Manager in maintaining the irrigation system throughout Thanksgiving Point’s property
• Repair filters, valves, pipes, heads, and nozzles when necessary
• Maintain proper coverage by adjusting heads, nozzles, and times
• Make adjustments on irrigation clocks as required for new plantings, seasonal adjustments, and events
• Help blow out the system each fall
• Address irrigation emergencies that may fall outside regularly scheduled days and hours
• Clean and maintain water features in the garden
• Wintertime work includes snow removal, gardening tasks, holiday light installation and clean‑up
• Exemplify Thanksgiving Point’s Mission, Values, and Policies
• Other duties as assigned

• Must be able to work in all kinds of weather conditions
• Previous irrigation experience desired
• Familiar with Rainbird’s IQ4 system
• Able to follow instructions and work independently
• Pass an MVR and background check
• Be at least 18 years old
