The Mechanical Pipe Foreman role is a hands-on leadership position responsible for guiding crews in the installation of mechanical piping systems on heavy civil projects, including treatment plants, pump stations, and reservoirs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise mechanical piping crews on-site, ensuring productivity and safety.
  • Install various piping systems, including carbon steel, stainless steel, ductile iron, HDPE, PVC, and process piping.
  • Interpret and work from plans, specifications, and isometric drawings to ensure accurate installations.
  • Coordinate daily activities with Superintendents, Project Managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Plan and organize work to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all installations meet project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on the job site.
  • Mentor and develop Crew Leaders and field staff, fostering future leadership within the company.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical piping experience in heavy civil construction.
  • Proven experience leading crews as a Crew Leader or Foreman.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical piping systems, valves, pumps, fittings, supports, and equipment installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and construction specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan work and drive project progress efficiently.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Preferred:
    Experience with water and wastewater treatment plant construction.
  • Preferred:
    Experience installing process piping and mechanical equipment.
  • Preferred: OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Preferred:
    Class A CDL or willingness to obtain one.
  • Preferred:
    Welding, rigging, or equipment setting experience.
  • Preferred:
    Experience coordinating testing, startup, and commissioning activities.
